Workers and young people in their millions are drawing the same conclusion: this system cannot be fixed. It must be overthrown.

The Revolutionary Communist International (RCI) organises in more than 70 countries. We base ourselves on the ideas of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Trotsky. Our aim is to build a single world party of the working class, to overthrow capitalism and open the road to communism.

Communism means a society free of classes and exploitation, where poverty, oppression and the state itself have been eliminated. The means of production – factories, offices and land – will be collectively owned and democratically planned by ordinary people to meet our needs. A world in which the bestial struggle for survival, and the domination of man by man, is finally brought to an end.

War, genocide, economic crisis, climate catastrophe, grinding poverty: horrors without end. A parasitic minority of bosses, bankers and billionaires enrich themselves to an obscene degree, wrung from the blood and sweat of the majority, while the new generations coming of age are denied any future worthy of the name.

And yet humanity has never possessed such colossal potential. We produce enough food for all, while one in six of the world’s children goes hungry. Every technical means to halt the climate catastrophe already exists – unused, because it does not turn a profit. Science and industry could liberate the whole of humanity, but under capitalism they languish for the benefit of the few.

These are not errors to be corrected, or excesses to be reformed away. They flow from the system itself. This is a rotten society, ripe for overthrow.

The only force capable of transforming society is the working class. Not a wheel turns, not a light shines, without its permission. When it moves, no power on earth can stop it.

But the capitalists will never surrender their wealth and power voluntarily, and spontaneous struggle alone is not enough to take it from them.

As Trotsky explained in 1938, the historical crisis of mankind is reduced to the crisis of revolutionary leadership. What the working class needs is a party armed with Marxist ideas, rooted in the class, and prepared to lead.

Capitalism is a world system; the crisis is a world crisis; the revolutionary wave being prepared will be a world revolution. As Marx explained, communism is international, or it is nothing. That is why we are not building a federation of national parties, but a single world party of socialist revolution.

It does not matter how much or how little Marxism you have read. If you want to learn and to fight, you have come to the right place.
