Revolutionary Communist International

The Revolutionary Communist International (RCI) is active in over 70 countries around the world. We are striving to raise the banner under which the awakening generation of revolutionary workers and youth can assemble to overthrow capitalism. We urge all new visitors to marxist.com to read our Manifesto, unanimously passed at the 2024 founding conference of the RCI, which you can read here.

In short, we are fighting to build a single, global party of world socialist revolution, based on the scientific, revolutionary communist ideas of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Trotsky, which we defend. This section of marxist.com includes articles and reports on the activity of the RCI internationally. If you are a communist and want to join us in the struggle, then join the RCI here.

On May 30–31, hundreds of communists gathered in Philadelphia—the birthplace of the First American Revolution—for the Third National Congress of the Revolutionary Communists of America. The aim of the RCA is to build the party which will lead America’s third revolution – the socialist revolution.

On 30-31 May, the Revolutionary Communist Collective (CCR) gathered for its second annual congress in Lisbon, having doubled our forces since we founded! With Portugal on the brink of its second general strike in six months, our event stood out for its electric enthusiasm, flowing from our recent successes and our Marxist ideas.

From 15 to 17 May, the Second Congress of the Partito Comunista Rivoluzionario (PCR) was held in Cervia, attended by 229 communist activists from across Italy. The congress was a resounding success and provided a vivid illustration of the extraordinary progress the party has made over the past year. But, even more important, these three days of debate offered an inspiring perspective on the tumultuous events our organisation has passed through in recent months, and the tasks that lie ahead.

Colombia is a country of contradictions. It has some of the world’s greatest biodiversity, abundant mineral wealth, and a vibrant people. Yet it suffers from imperialist domination, internal civil war, crime, and poverty. It is within this tumult that the Revolutionary Communists of Colombia (CRC) have been born.

US imperialism’s war against Iran has sent shockwaves across the globe. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has sent prices skyrocketing. Militarism is firmly on the agenda, and the workers are being made to pay.

Comrades from across Ireland gathered in Dublin on the 11th and 12th of April for the 3rd congress of the Revolutionary Communists of Ireland. This was our first congress as an official section of the Revolutionary Communist International, a fact that was reflected in the quality of the discussions and the sheer enthusiasm of all in attendance.

4-5 April marked the first Congress of the Inqalabi Communist Party, the Pakistani section of the Revolutionary Communist International. The Congress met under intense objective difficulties: inflation and skyrocketing fuel prices are shaking the country, and organising a central event of this size is therefore incredibly difficult. On top of this, police repression has sharply increased against the masses who are suffering under these conditions.

The 16th annual Montreal Marxist Winter School was a landmark event for communism in Quebec and Canada. The event received rave reviews from attendees, and the mood matched the seriousness of this moment in history—with all 750 attendees more determined to learn and build the forces of communism than ever.

At the start of February, as Trump was amassing his armada in the Persian Gulf, as the people of Minnesota engaged in head on struggle with ICE, as the crimes of the ruling class in the Epstein files left the world aghast – 90 leading revolutionary communists from around the world gathered in Italy.

On a profoundly historic weekend, nearly 20 revolutionary communists and sympathisers from across Taiwan, together with comrades from the International Centre of the Revolutionary Communist International in London, gathered in Taipei for an intensive, tightly organised, and politically rich series of discussions. These discussions not only raised the comrades’ theoretical level, but also set out a clearer and more forward-looking direction for our work ahead internationally, and in Taiwan.

Since 3 January and US imperialism’s criminal assault on Venezuela, comrades of the Revolutionary Communist International have been out on the streets and in the media, emphasising that only the organised resistance of the working class has the power to put an end to imperialism.

Towards the last days of the turbulent year 2025, the Inqalabi Communist Party (Revolutionary Communist Party, RCP) organised a three day ‘Central Communist School’ (Winter 2025) from 19 to 21 December, and a one day ‘Communist Festival’ on 18 December in Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city, in which more than 250 comrades participated.
