On the weekend of 8-9 November, the Organización Comunista Revolucionaria (OCR), the Spanish section of the RCI, held its first national Marxist School in Madrid. It was a great success. This marks an important step in the development of our section as it was the first time that we have held two major national events in the same year.

Days after a self-described democratic socialist won the New York mayoral election, over 300 communists sang a rousing rendition of “The Internationale” to conclude the third and final installment of the RCA’s 2025 Marxist School series.

Communism has returned to Chicago! In a city with a rich history of labor struggles—including the world-famous Haymarket martyrs and the fight for a forty hour work week—about 200 revolutionary communists met on October 25–26 for the first-ever RCA Chicago Marxist School.

On 10, 11, and 12 October, more than 200 communists gathered at the Telephone Workers' Union in Mexico City for the founding congress of the Revolutionary Communist Party (PCR). In an atmosphere of great enthusiasm, we discussed international and national perspectives, a balance sheet of our work, and the political and organisational principles of our party.

Israel’s interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla has sparked an eruption of mass anger across the world and particularly in Europe. In Italy, this has led to not one but two political general strikes for Palestine. This represents the decisive entry onto the scene of the powerful Italian working class. In Spain too, millions were on the streets. Many hundreds of thousands took to the streets of hundreds of cities all over Europe.

We are living through an unprecedented crisis of capitalism. Inequality is at record levels. There are currently more wars than at any point since WW2. And the world economy is mired in stagnation, inflation, and crushing debt. Now, with the re-election of Trump, the entire edifice of the post-war order – of unchallenged American dominance – is beginning to crumble. 

The forces of Western Canadian communism are on the rise! Over the weekend of June 28 and 29, the Revolutionary Communist Party held the sixth annual Communist Summer School in Edmonton, Alberta. This was a tremendous school and was a fantastic sign for the development of the revolutionary communist forces in the Canadian Prairies!

This August, between the second and the seventh, the First Congress of the Revolutionary Communist International (RCI) will be held in Italy. It will bring together hundreds of delegates, representing thousands of communists who will be watching along online on every continent. In times of unprecedented worldwide turbulence, it will be a congress like no other.

The Fourth International was founded by Trotsky in 1938. By that point, the Second ‘Socialist’ International and the Third ‘Communist’ International had completely betrayed their historic missions and acted as traitorous obstacles in the way of the victory of the working class. A new revolutionary leadership was required worldwide, one founded upon the Marxist ideas long since abandoned by the other internationals.

Leading members of the Awami Action Committee in the Pakistan-administered region of Gilgit Baltistan have been arrested. They are being held in appalling conditions, on trumped-up charges. Their crime? Standing up for working people and resisting the plunder of their lands! The Revolutionary Communist International is running a global campaign to secure the comrades’ release – and we need your help!

460 communists gathered in Philadelphia on May 31 and June 1, 2025, for the Second National Congress of the Revolutionary Communists of America. Delegates from 33 cities were present, with visitors from several dozen more. Every major region of the United States was represented, from Seattle to Atlanta, New York to Los Angeles, Chicago to Dallas. The Congress was also thrilled to have guests from Canada and Quebec, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, as well as the International Secretariat of the Revolutionary Communist International in London.
