Pakistan: Marxist Youth School held in Sindh

On February 11 and 12, a two-day Marxist Youth School was held in Jamshoro in Sindh. 35 young comrades from cities all across Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Tando Mohd Khan, Thata, Dado and Khairpur Nathan Shah, and Jamshoro, participated in the school.

The school was divided into four sessions, which began on February 11 with the singing of revolutionary songs by Comrade Aijaz Bughio. Comrade Imran opened the session with the topic "World Perspectives”. He explained the world situation and the international crisis of capitalism from a Marxist perspective. The contributions and discussion focused mainly on the situation in Venezuela, the Middle East and Kashmir. Comrade Harish spoke on National Question in the present world situation. Comrade Imran summed up the session with the conclusion that the only solution to the problems created by the capitalist system is socialism.

ImageThe next session of the school was on dialectical materialism. Comrade Saima opened the discussion explaining the theory and mechanism of dialectics. The contributions of the comrades opened up a wide discussion on Greek and European philosophy. Comrade Harish summed up the session with the conclusion that society is ready for socialism and that it is the task of the Marxists to the lead that struggle.

On February 12, the school started with Comrade Nisar reciting a revolutionary poem. The first session was on Marxist economics which was introduced by Comrade Beenish. She discussed the methods through which the ruling class is able to exploit the working class and dominate society. Comrade Salman contributed to the discussion and further explained the theory of surplus value. Comrade Beenish summed up the session and concluded that the only way to fight for our rights is through the class struggle and that the only way to end capitalist exploitation is through the socialist transformation of society.

ImageLast but not least, a very important topic was discussed in the second and final session on February 12, the history of the International, which was opened up by Comrade Harsih. In explaining the history of our movement he was able to discuss the responsibilities of the comrades and the methods of our work. Contributions from the floor further explained the achievements of our International. The session was concluded with the singing of the Internationale.

The aim of school was not only to educate the Comrades in the ideas of Marxism and the history of our movement, but was also aimed at renewing their energy in the fight for socialism.
