Kashmir: 18th “Permanent Revolution” convention of JKNSF Pakistan Share TweetThe 18th “Permanent Revolution” convention of Jammu Kashmir National Students Federation was held in Rawalpindi on 28th October in which a big number of students from Pakistani Occupied Kashmir and various cities of Pakistan participated.Various Trade Union leaders came to attend this rally and support the students in their cause which included Senior Vice-President of Peoples Unity PIA Comrade Shoaib, Secretary General Suhail Mukhtar, Chairman WAPDA Hydro Union Rawalpindi Malik Fateh Khan, Deputy General Secretary Pakistan Worker’s Federation Akram Bunda, Additional General Secretary Railways Labor Union Raja Imran, leader of the PTUDC women’s wing comrade Fauzia from Railways, Tariq Mehmood from Railway Workers Union, General Secretary Attock Oil Refinery Employees Union Abdul Rauf, Ghulam Muhammad of the PMA union, President PLA union Pakistan Post Ishaq Khan Marwat, along with a number of students and trade union activists.Hundreds of Students and Youth raised slogans against capitalism, price hikes, unemployment, terrorism, and privatization and against bans on student unions. After passing through the Press Club the rally reached Moti Mahal Hall, where an educational session was held.Comrade Lal Khan addressed this gathering and said that “this rally of youth has given us new enthusiasm to speed up the efforts to overthrow this rotten capitalist system.” He said that we support the National Question of Kashmir and independence of Kashmir and we think that the national question is basically a question of bread and that the JKNSF is spreading this message in an excellent way. He said that, “solidarity messages for this convention from Indian Occupied Kashmir, India and other countries around the world are a morale booster for us and this has given us new courage. He said after this successful rally in support of # Occupy Wall Street we announce the campaign of #Occupy Kashmir and vow once again that we will unite all these revolutionary movements into a socialist revolution to end all misery.”Other speakers also vowed to continue the struggle towards a socialist victory. A special delegate from Kabul, Afghanistan, in the convention, comrade Sher Jan, said that “we are taking revolutionary message back from the students of Kashmir and will struggle against the imperialist hegemony and fundamentalist terror in our country and will fight for a better future of our people.”Others who addressed the convention were central president JKNSF Amjad Shahswar, veteran student leader comrade Parvez Malik, President PPP Poonch Division Kashmir Sardar Zaheer Advocate, Leader of Inqlabi Council University of Agriculture Faisalabad comrade Ismaeel, Saqib Farooq, Akram Bunda, Leader of Peoples Students Federation D.G.Khan Shehryar Zauq, Tariq Afghan, Zubair Baloch, Rashid Khalid, President JKNSF Pooch District Basharat Ali, Student Circle Convenor PPP Pooch Asim Ghazan, President PPP Rawalpindi city Ishaq Meer, student leader from Multan Mahbloos Asad, Comrade Mudasar, Mushtaq, Zubair Lateef, Khalil Babar, Abrar Lateef, Khalid Rafeeq, Asif Rasheed and others.In this convention a new cabinet of the JKNSF was also elected in which comrade Rashid Sheikh from Muzzaffarabad was elected president, Khalil Babar from Rawlakot as General Secretary while other office bearers include Senior Vice-President comrade Mudassar, Vice-President comrade Shoaib, Joint Secretary Hasnain, Deputy Joint Secretary Basit, Information Secretary Shehzad Ayub, Finance secretary Ismat and In-charge of JKNSF organ “Azam” Ikhlaq Raheem. Outgoing president Comrade Amjad Shahswar announced and took oath from this new cabinet. The convention ended with the singing of the Internationale.Picture gallery
