Excellent donations for publication of Indonesian Revolution Betrayed, but a little more needed For the first time in Indonesia, Trotsky’s Revolution Betrayed will be published. The IMT, with its publishing house Wellred, is proud to be a part of this historical event. Two weeks ago we launched a financial appeal to help finance the publication of this book, and we have so far collected $840 out of the $1200 that we need.
USA: 2010 National Congress of the WIL This year's National Congress of the Workers International League, held during a historical turning point of capitalism, has marked a new period of development for the organization.
Conference reveals the growing force of Marxist ideas in Canada In late May, supporters of Fightback in English Canada, and La Riposte in Quebec, gathered to rally the forces of Marxism fighting the Canadian state. Over 40 young workers, students, and trade unionists gathered in Toronto to discuss the effects of the capitalist crisis and how to mobilize resistance to the bosses’ attacks. It was the largest and most successful gathering in the history of the event, with activists flying in from as far as Vancouver, and shows the growing presence of Marxist ideas in Canada.
Excellent response to Bolivia campaign! The financial appeal for the Bolivian printer campaign met its target ($2,500) and we have now closed it. We would like to thank those who contributed. For those who did not get the chance to contribute financially to the spreading of Marxism, there will be more opportunities this summer.

Venezuela: Confidence and enthusiasm mark the launch of Lucha de Clases With representatives from 7 different regions, the Venezuelan comrades held their re-founding Congress of the Venezuelan section of the IMT in Caracas, taking the opportunity to launch their new paper, “Lucha de Clases” (Class Struggle). Also present were workers from three occupied factories (INAF, Gotcha and INVEVAL). The comrades have had to deal with very difficult internal conditions over the past year but the mood was one of great enthusiasm and optimism, and they are committed to playing an important role within the PSUV and the Venezuelan revolution.
Pakistan: 29th Congress of The Struggle – a historic gathering – Day Two The Second Day of the congress was dedicated to a discussion on the approach of Marxists to the mass organisations and also on the work of building the forces of Marxism in Pakistan. In spite of attacks on the tendency, the comrades have made important gains, and the mood is one of determination to build.
Pakistan: 29th Congress of The Struggle – a historic gathering On Saturday, March 20, the 29th Congress of The Struggle opened with sessions on the world crisis of capitalism, followed by a discussion on the impact of this crisis on Pgakistan, as the country is ravaged by war, rising unemployment, power cuts, and terrorist attacks. Economic collapse is causing widespread misery among the masses, leading to growing social protest. In these conditions, over the two days the total figure attending was 2,183 people.
Pakistan: Area Aggregate of Marxists in Faisalabad In February the Marxists in Faisalabad gathered to discuss the political situation in Pakistan as part of the preparations for their national conference later this month.
Pakistan: North Punjab Regional Congress of the IMT’s Pakistani section The North Punjab Regional congress of the Pakistani section of the IMT was held on February 28th, in Rawalpindi. More than 150 comrades from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Attock, Taxila-Wah and Abbottabad areas participated in the gathering, including trade union comrades, the PTUDC, People's Youth Organization, JKNSF, YFIS and BNT.
March 8 in Copenhagen: women’s struggle is a class struggle Yesterday in Copenhagen, to celebrate International Working Women’s Day the Danish Marxists organised a public meeting to launch their new book on the women’s question, with a good turnout and many people showing an interest in the ideas of Marxism on this key question.
