Other participants included comrade Shakeel Khan, BNT organizer for Rawalpindi, comrade Atif, comrade Aqeel, comrade Nauman, comrade Wali Khan and comrade Amaan Ullah. The Convention was presided over by comrade Pervaiz Malik and comrade Changez fulfilled the duties of stage secretary. The Ceremony formally started with a revolutionary poem read by comrade Atif. While explaining the goals and objectives of BNT, comrade Sher Khan said that unemployment has become one of the major problems internationally and about 40 million people are unemployed only in Pakistan at the moment. He said that youngsters are indulging in social evils like robbery, drugs and suicide bombing because of unemployment and all these ways lead to destruction. Comrade Sher Khan further said that the main purpose of BNT was to make the young generation aware of the actual reason behind all their sufferings and disappointments i.e. Capitalism. He emphasized that Capitalism was the main reason behind all the pains and sufferings of humanity in this era and must be replaced with a Socialist System, which was only possible through a revolution in which young generation must play a key role.Comrade Shakeel Khan said that he along with other comrades had arranged many BNT camps in Rawalpindi and they were getting a very good response from the youth. He said that a lot of youngsters agreed with the basic manifesto of BNT and were becoming members. He said that in 1968-69 youth had challenged the existing capitalist system by joining the revolutionary movement led by the working class but the revolution had failed as there was no Bolshevik party to lead the movement further. Comrade Shakeel Khan criticized PPP and said that the recent government had failed to provide any relief to the masses because of its imperialist capitalist economic policies. He said that the largest privatization is going on in the era when Pakistan Peoples Party is in government and it would further increase unemployment. He further said that PPP had forgotten its founding manifesto and at the moment is not representing the aspirations of the working class. He said that we would not let this happen anymore and a movement bigger than that of 1968-69 would rise through which the working class and young generation would throw this profit-based economic system away.Comrade Wali Khan said “there was once a young man (Karl Marx) about 166 years ago, who at the age of 23 delivered a message to the youth and working class of the whole world that the interpretation of the world was insufficient and it must be changed”. He said that this system can only give hunger, poverty, disease and destruction and not anything better.A revolutionary poem read by comrade Moeed made the audience more enthusiastic. Comrade Aman Ullah said that instead of uniting the people against this brutal system the religious leaders were doing the opposite and our struggle against this class system must occupy the highest priority in our lives.Chief Guest comrade Farhad Kiani explained how unemployment was making the lives of the masses miserable and painful. He said “A young man, who does not get any job in spite of his education and skills, dies a hundred times a day”. He said that unemployment is an international issue and we have started the BNT in order to direct the unemployed against the curse of unemployment which was the product of the inhuman capitalist system. He further said that the capitalist system had lived more than its physical age and it was proving to be a great hurdle in the way of human prosperity and progress. Comrade Farhad said that youngsters were becoming the part of Berozgar Naujawan Tehreek in large numbers as there are only two choices in front of humanity, Socialism or Barbarism.Comrade Pervaiz Malik in his concluding remarks said that they had stepped into practical politics in order to fight and understand the class society in an efficient way. He once again said that the left in 1968-69 had no clear perspective due to which revolution could not be fruitful. He said that every youngster must join and work under the banner of the International Marxist Tendency in order to build a revolutionary organization capable of leading the masses in the right direction in the revolutionary moments. Comrade Pervaiz said that working class, especially youngsters, must strive against this brutal socio-economic system to bring a Red Dawn which would put humanity on the path of harmony, progress and prosperity. Only in a socialist society can humanity explore the infinite beautiful universe in a better way.At the end of the ceremony revolutionary slogans were raised and all the comrades sang the Internationale.
