Britain: Unison conference – Right wing smells blood, as left runs for the hills This year’s conference of Britain's biggest trade union, Unison, has ended with the right wing emboldened, and the left in retreat. This highlights important lessons in the struggle to transform the union into a fighting weapon for workers.
Britain: Paul Mason – from class collaborator to outright renegade The US blog, Grayzone, has published what it claims are leaked emails showing British journalist and ex-left Paul Mason discussing plans to involve the state to silence anti-war, anti-NATO media outlets. Slogans included: “arm, arm, arm Ukraine!”, and participants were reportedly inviting NATO to “call Putin’s bluff”, i.e. to launch a full-blown military intervention and spark World War III.
