El sábado 15 de junio, el Sindicato de Trabajadores del Puerto del Pireo (ENEDEP) se movilizó para impedir que el buque portacontenedores MSC ALTAIR con destino a Israel atracara en el puerto griego. El barco transportaba material de guerra, destinado a causar destrucción en Gaza. Gracias a que el bloqueo se mantuvo fuerte, el barco se vio obligado a desviarse hacia Italia, asestando un golpe a la maquinaria de guerra de Israel que debería servir de ejemplo para los trabajadores del mundo.
