Solidarity with Arab Revolution in D.G.Khan, Pakistan Share TweetOn 27th February a seminar was organized by the Pakistan Trade Union Defence Campaign (PTUDC) and Youth For International Socialism (YFIS) in Dera Ghazi Khan to discuss the continuing Arab Revolution and its impact on Pakistan. The seminar was held in the District head office of the Pakistan People’s Party, D.G. Khan.Comrade Adam Pal addressed the seminar and explained the revolutionary movement of Arab youth and workers and how it will revive the socialist traditions of the Arab World. Comrade Rauf Lund, Secretary General of the PPP Rajanpur District was the stage secretary.Others who addressed the seminar were Comrade Gulzar Lodhi and comrade Ali Akbar. A number of youth and student leaders were present at the occasion that raised some important questions about the future of revolution.In his summing up comrade Adam Pal emphasized the need to build a revolutionary party in Middle East on the lines of Bolshevik Party in Russia which led the Russian revolution in 1917. He also explained the impact a Marxist organization in Pakistan can have on these events in the Arab world. He said that the storms on the shores of the Nile and the Mediterranean will soon reach the Indus.After the seminar a rally from the traffic Chowk to the Press Club was held in solidarity with the Arab working class, condemning the rulers and US imperialism in the region.
